Was there arguing over unknown rules? Was it\na peaceful game or was there much disagreement? Was it any fun? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How about putting something together without\ninstructions? Or making a trip without consulting directions? Living a\nChristian life without reading the \u201crules\u201d is impossible to do. The rules are\nGod\u2019s Word. Read 2 Timothy 3:16. \u201cAll scripture <em>is<\/em>\ngiven by inspiration of God, and <em>is<\/em> profitable for doctrine, for\nreproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness\u201d (2 Timothy\n3:16). Understand it better by using the following definitions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>inspiration\nof God:<\/strong> breathed by God; divinely inspired <\/li><li><strong>profitable:<\/strong>\nhelpful; useful; advantageous <\/li><li><strong>doctrine:<\/strong>\ninstruction; not only the teaching but also the authority of the teacher<\/li><li><strong>reproof:<\/strong>\nconviction; manifestation of the truth and the results <\/li><li><strong>correction:<\/strong>\nset right again; correct<\/li><li><strong>instruction:<\/strong>\nteaching that includes chastening <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice that 2\nTimothy 3:16 builds upon itself in its instruction. They are interdependent\n(mutually dependant) upon each other. First we see it is a doctrine (used for\ninstruction or warning), then as truth (knowing the truth, convincing us of\nerror), correction (morally correcting), and instruction (we see discipline to\nlead us to righteousness).\u201d <strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>(Excerpt\nfrom Y1Q4 \u2013 Lesson 6) <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Christians\nread the Bible, they can understand the importance of seeking God with their\nwhole heart and to not wander (stray) from God\u2019s commands. It is good to hide\nGod\u2019s Word in your heart until it becomes a part of who you are. \u201c<strong>Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I\nmight not sin against thee<\/strong>\u201d (Psalm 119:11). It would be good to read all of\nPsalm 119. Let it be an encouragement to those who truly seek to know and\nplease God; to seek God\u2019s heart (remember David?). This Psalm was written by\none who truly loved God and did not find His Word laborious. Reading the Bible\nto know God better must be our hearts\u2019 desire in order to walk with God. \u201c<strong>Thy word <em>is<\/em> a lamp unto my feet, and\na light unto my path.<\/strong>\u201d (Psalm 119:105) We should be happy to walk according\nto God\u2019s Word. \u201c<strong>Thy word <em>is<\/em> very\npure: therefore thy servant loveth it<\/strong>\u201d (Psalm 119:140). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christians must\nread the Bible to remember what God has done, which leads to understanding the value\nof God\u2019s Word. It is at this point we begin to recognize the importance of\nwalking with God, obeying God\u2019s Words, to live a life pleasing to and blessed\nby God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you love to read God\u2019s Word? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does the Bible light your path? <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cHave you ever tried to play a game with someone without reading the instructions?
