I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, <em>which is<\/em> your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what <em>is<\/em> that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.\u201d\u00a0 Romans 12:1-2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some\nvery important things we need to learn about how a Christian is to live.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul encouraged\npeople who have given their hearts and lives to Jesus to understand the\nimportance of living their lives in a pleasing manner. Romans 12:1-2:&nbsp; \u201c1. I beseech\nyou therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a\nliving sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, <em>which is<\/em> your reasonable\nservice. 2. And be not conformed to this\nworld: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove\nwhat <em>is<\/em> that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.\u201d\nJust as Jesus willingly died for each Christian, each Christian is then to\npresent their life to Jesus as a \u201cliving sacrifice.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does this\nmean?&nbsp; <strong>Living sacrifice<\/strong> means <em>the\nphysical life and existence, as opposed to death or nonexistence, always with\nsome duration as a living and constant sacrifice<\/em>. God expects His people to\nlive a life, always, as if they belong to Him \u2013 acceptable to Him. That is the\nvery least we can do (\u201creasonable service\u201d).&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul went on to\nremind us that because we are now spiritual creatures, we are not to be \u201cconformed\u201d to this world.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Not conformed<\/strong>\nmeans <em>to be fashioned alike; one is not\nto be molded by the external and fleeting manners or ways of this period of\ntime, but to undergo a deep inner transformation that can only be brought by\nthe Holy Spirit<\/em>.&nbsp; Instead of being conformed\n(changed to be like the world by outside influences), we are being\ntransformed.&nbsp; <\/li><li><strong>Transformed<\/strong>\nmeans <em>that invisible process that begins\nto take place in a Christian during his\/her life here on earth<\/em>.&nbsp; To be changed from the inside out. How are we\nto be transformed?&nbsp; By renewing one\u2019s\nmind.&nbsp; <\/li><li><strong>Renewing<\/strong>\nmeans <em>a renovation which makes a person\ndifferent than in the past<\/em>.&nbsp; A\nChristian is not to think like they always have according to the world\u2019s\nsystem. <\/li><li><strong>Prove <\/strong>means\n<em>to put to the proof or examine; the notion\nof proving a thing whether it is worthy or not<\/em>.&nbsp; Once Christians know how to live, they are to\nimplement those things into their life.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>A Christian is to live a life, not like the rest of\nthe world, but different from the world! <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>We are to always remember that our life is\nnot our own, for we have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20)!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"594\" height=\"333\" src=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Web-Verse-12-Romans-12-1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-668\" srcset=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Web-Verse-12-Romans-12-1-2.jpg 594w, http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Web-Verse-12-Romans-12-1-2-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 594px) 100vw, 594px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c1.
