(They cried out to God.)\u00a0 What did God do for them? (He sent Moses to deliver them from bondage in Egypt.)\u00a0 Did God take care of them?\u00a0 Read the memory verse for today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>burden:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>your problem<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>sustain:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>hold you, guide you, and provide for you<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>suffer:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>cause or allow<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>righteous:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>lawful, or honest; one who obeys God\u2019s laws<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>moved:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>be removed; cast away; or off course<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God will provide and take care of His people who obey His laws and live for Him.\u00a0 We will read words David and others wrote as they remembered God\u2019s provision for His people through the years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong> Today we continue with the second of the Personal books, Psalms.\u00a0 Remember that the Psalms is broken up into 5 books.\u00a0 We will look at book two of the Psalms (chapters 42-72) today, revealing man and God\u2019s dealings with man as compared to the book of Exodus.\u00a0 We find the main theme was Israel and their cry for deliverance, their redemption from Egypt, learning that the law reveals sin, and learning to trust God.<\/p>\n<p>After Moses led the people out of Egypt, God spoke to them from the top of Mount Sinai, and it was there the law was given (beginning with the Ten Commandments \u2013 Exodus 19-20.)\u00a0 This law showed mankind their sin.\u00a0 They were to obey God\u2019s Law.\u00a0 The Israelites were taught that obedience to God is necessary, and that they could not be a redeemed, set apart people, unless they obeyed God\u2019s commands.<\/p>\n<p>During the book of Exodus, God\u2019s people learned to trust Him for everything.\u00a0 God provided for their every need in the wilderness \u2013 a cloud of covering during the heat of the day, a pillar of fire by night, food (manna), and even water (from the flint rock.)\u00a0 They learned to trust in Him \u2013 completely.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the second book of the Psalms was written by David.\u00a0 If you remember, he spent many years fleeing King Saul in fear for his life.\u00a0 During that time, he learned to trust in God.\u00a0 He cried out many times for God to provide for him, and even to deliver him from enemies.\u00a0 During this time, he learned to praise God for His wonderful provisions and answer to prayers.\u00a0 David also learned that sin separated him from God, until he repented of his sin.<\/p>\n<p>Encourage your students to bring their Bibles and use them!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emphasis:\u00a0 <\/strong>Encourage them to learn to trust God for everything they need in life.\u00a0 Help them recognize that sin separates us from God until we come to him in true repentance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Optional Worksheets to be downloaded:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Lesson-42-Volume-1-Childrens-Worksheet-1.pdf\">Lesson 42 &#8211; Volume 1 Children&#8217;s Worksheet 1<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Lesson-42-Volume-1-Childrens-Reinforcement-Worksheet.pdf\">Lesson 42 &#8211; Volume 1 Children&#8217;s Reinforcement Worksheet<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ideas for children:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stickers always work well with children.
