{"id":448,"date":"2018-12-30T19:47:40","date_gmt":"2018-12-31T01:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/?p=448"},"modified":"2019-08-18T19:08:01","modified_gmt":"2019-08-19T00:08:01","slug":"lesson-33-i-samuel-8-15-saul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/index.php\/2018\/12\/30\/lesson-33-i-samuel-8-15-saul\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 7 (Lesson 33):  I Samuel 8-15:  Saul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Key Verse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor mine eyes <em>are<\/em> upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.\u201d\u00a0 <strong>Jeremiah 16:17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Read the Key Verse with your class.\u00a0 Help them understand that the verse tells that God\u2019s eyes are upon everything.\u00a0 Nothing happens that God does not know about; not even their iniquity (faults, mischief, and\/or sin.)\u00a0 There is no point in lying about something you may have done (or not done) because God knows it all and nothing is hidden from Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary:<\/strong>\u00a0 Today we will continue in the life of Samuel, but we will be introduced to the third main character in the book of I Samuel \u2013 Saul.\u00a0 We learned last week, that when Samuel answered God\u2019s call, God was able to use him to speak to the people for Him.\u00a0 He was not only a priest, but he was a prophet of God.\u00a0 Today we see that the people now verbally reject God as their king and want a man to rule over them.\u00a0 God chose Saul.\u00a0 He was, physically, everything a people could want in a king.\u00a0 He was good looking, and he stood head and shoulders taller than anyone else.\u00a0 Today we learn what kind of a man he really was, and why God removed the kingdom not only from him, but his family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emphasis:\u00a0 <\/strong>We must remember that God sees everything. \u00a0We must please God in everything we do, obeying His commands.\u00a0 In order to know what God wants from us, we must seek Him \u2013 read our Bible and pray, faithfully.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Optional Worksheets to be downloaded:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Lesson-33-Volume-1-Childrens-Worksheet-1.pdf\">Lesson 33 &#8211; Volume 1 Children&#8217;s Worksheet 1<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Lesson-33-Volume-1-Childrens-Reinforcement-Worksheet.pdf\">Lesson 33 &#8211; Volume 1 Children&#8217;s Reinforcement Worksheet<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ideas for children:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stickers always work well with children.
