{"id":167,"date":"2018-05-21T12:11:35","date_gmt":"2018-05-21T17:11:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/?p=167"},"modified":"2019-08-18T18:53:43","modified_gmt":"2019-08-18T23:53:43","slug":"lesson-2-god-made-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/index.php\/2018\/05\/21\/lesson-2-god-made-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 2: God Made Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For this week, I have included a sample lesson.\u00a0 Hopefully this will give you a glimpse into the simplicity of the beginning lessons.\u00a0 By beginning with an overview of the Bible (in Lesson 1), we can better understand where The Biblical Path of Life study is going \u2013 completely through the Bible from beginning to end.\u00a0 In Lesson 2, we acknowledge that God created all, but his greatest creation is man.\u00a0 So few people in the world today truly understand their worth in God\u2019s eyes.\u00a0 By remembering the importance of each person, and the great love God has for them in the sending of His only Son, Jesus, to bring them back to Him, we can once again understand the importance on our part to receive the great gift God has made available to us.<\/p>\n<p>God created the world and everything in it.\u00a0 In this lesson, we focus on the fact that the greatest thing God created was mankind.\u00a0 We will emphasize that man is God\u2019s greatest creation \u2013 for God created man in His image.\u00a0 And God created man to have fellowship with Him. But the first man disobeyed God, which caused separation. This meant that man could no longer fellowship with God as before because of this separation.\u00a0 But God promised <strong><em>One<\/em><\/strong> would come to bridge the gap between sinful man and God.<\/p>\n<p>God made each and every one of us.\u00a0 One of the most important things that each person should understand is that God created <em>me<\/em>. \u00a0He made <em>me<\/em> a unique individual.\u00a0 And God created <em>me<\/em> to have fellowship with Him. God has a plan for <em>me<\/em>. \u00a0But because of sin that separated man from God, each person must trust Jesus to reconcile us, restoring that relationship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Verse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>John 1:3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/The-Biblical-Path-of-Life-Volume-1-sample-chapter.pdf\">The Biblical Path of Life Volume 1 sample chapter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Ideas for crafts or activities for children:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There is a memory verse fill in the blank worksheet you may want to download.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biblicalpath.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Lesson-2-Volume-1-Childrens-Worksheet.pdf\">Lesson 2 Volume 1 Children&#8217;s Worksheet<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have each child draw a picture of themselves. Emphasize their uniqueness, while also showing them their remarkable similarities, as they consider that God made them.<\/li>\n<li>Younger children could have someone trace their outline on butcher paper.\u00a0 Then each child could then color it to look like him\/her.<\/li>\n<li>Older children or youth:\u00a0 Some of the classes designated a wall in their classroom to become a huge mural.\u00a0 For this week, have them each bring a picture of themselves.\u00a0 You may even take a group picture to put in the center of your mural.\u00a0 Emphasize that they are each different, yet special in God\u2019s eyes.\u00a0 Each week hereafter, there will be ideas or suggestions as to what to add to the mural weekly.\u00a0 They may bring a picture, a news article, a poem they have written, a picture they have drawn, etc. of something that is relevant to each of the following lessons.\u00a0 Watch as it grows weekly, as they express what God is revealing to them through our study of how the Bible fits into His plan to help us become more like Him.\u00a0 Encourage everyone to participate.\u00a0 I have posted a few pictures of murals that different classes
